Work: the seven elements of culture of a country.
As I have explained in the class, in this unit you have to do a group work in English about a country. Each country has been assigned to a group. Remember that no group can be made up of more than 4 students.
Characteristics of the work:
1. You have to do it on a cardboard.
2. Write the title at the top of the cardboard. The title will be the name of the country.
3. Divide the cardboard in seven parts. Each part is to be written one of the seven elements about which you have to investigate (1.social organization; 2.customs and traditions; 3.religion, 4.language, 5.arts and literature; 6.forms of Government and 7.economic systems). In the point 1 the most important thing is to explain what are the social classes, if women and men have the same rights, if people is free, etc.; in the point 6 you have to say if the country is a kingdom or a republic, who is the king/queen; the president of the republic, etc. In the point 7 you have to explain what is the main economic activity in the country...
4. Do not forget to add some representative pictures of the country.
5.Deadline: November, 3rd 2014. On this date each group will show their work the teacher and will explain to the class during 5 minutes their investigation.

¿Qué estudiamos para el examen del tema de la población?
Do not worry. Keep calm and pass exams!
Partes del examen en español:
*Comentar una pirámide de población según el modelo que hemos visto en clase y que está en el libro de texto.
*Movimientos migratorios.
*Preguntas sobre la natalidad y la mortalidad. Repasaros las actividades sobre natalidad y mortalidad que tenéis en el blog y que habéis hecho en el cuaderno. Al final de vuestro libro de texto hay un mapa mundi con todos los países. Es muy importante que sepáis localizar al menos 4 países de cada continente para hacer referencia a ellos cuando hagáis el ejercicio.
*Estructura económica de la población almeriense.

LOS MAPAS, LA LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPRESENTACIÓN DE LA TIERRA (punto 4 del índice)
Os voy a dejar varios recursos y actividades para que os ayuden a estudiar el punto 4 de nuestro índice de la unidad 1. Si hacéis bien estas actividades tendréis 1,5 puntos extra en el próximo examen siempre y cuando saquéis un 4 como mínimo en el examen. Es obligatorio hacerlas en el cuaderno.. Tenéis que poner el título del punto 4 y a continuación hacer estas actividades.
