  2. I have choose to Sir Francis Drake. It is famous for being a pirate.Sir Francis Drake was born sometime around 1540 as the son of a Puritan farmer. Drake taught himself navigation as the navigator of a small merchant vessel early in his career. En 1567, Drake and his cousin, John Hawkins they were attacked by a Spanish nose in the Gulf of Mexico..En 1572, the queen Isabel entrusted Drake to being employed as corsair at the assault to the ports and the maritime transport of Spain. After an unsuccessful attempt of attacking the Spanish in the current Nicaragua, formulated Drake new plans of attacking to a Spanish nose that takes hordes of worn gold of Mexico. Not only it turns into the first explorer to do the trip about the world, but to his return, in spite of the demands of the Spanish crown of having it beheaded, the queen Isabel named it gentleman. Many believe Francis Drake was the main reason the English defeated the vaunted Spanish Armada. He died in 1596 from dysentery off of the coast of Panama.

  4. John Cabot
John Cabot was born in 1450. he was an Italian navigator and explorer, whose 1497 discovery of parts of North America is commonly held to have been the first European exploration of mainland of North America. He maintained that he could reach Asia sailing by the west. He is important in History thanks to his discovery of North America. I´ll tell some important datas about his discovery.
After Columbus discovery of the west Indies, Cabot began formulating a plan to reach “the Indies”, Cabot first sailed in 1496, this voyage proved unsuccessful and Cabot turned back to England. In 1497, Cabot thought to have set sail again, this time his voyage was successful. He discovered eastern Canada, he claimed this land for England. He thought he found Asia but he never found it. He sailed back to England and he was welcome as a hero.
His last trip was in 1498, sailing west coast of Greeanlad, the colder it become and larger the icerbergs were. He was forced to navigate to the South, where no discoveries were made. He returned to England and he died shortly thereafter.
In my opinion, this is a very interesting trip, but it´s a pity that cabot didn´t know that he discovered North America. May be in that times, like Christopher Columbus didn´t know what he really discovered. Due to the lack of orientation instruments. Also there is a University in the United States of America that is named John Cabot. It is a small American liberal arts university in Trastevere, in Rome, Italy. It was established in 1972 as a split-off from the American University  , of Rome and until about 1991 was known as John Cabot International College.

  5. Sir Francis Drake
Sir Francis Drake was born in 1543 in Tavistock. He was an English privateer and an excellent explorer. He led a lot of expeditions against Spanish interests.
At first, Queen Elisabeth promply appointed Drake as the leader of an expedition to sail around the world. Then, he attackon Cacofuego where there were an unbelievable amount of precius metals and jewels. At the end, Drake arrive to England and Queen Elisabeth made him a knight.
In my opinion, he is famous because he got a lot of money and jewels, which made him an important person. Also, he has been an important explorer for his country because he found a way to know where the jewels and money from the Spaniards were.

James Cook was a British navigator, explorer and chartographer. He is known for charting many islands and coasts of the Pacific Ocean with a great precision. He charted for first time ever Hawaii Islands, Australian´s coasts and New Zeland between others. James Cook was killed when he was 50 years old in Hawaii Islands when he attempted to kidnap a Hawaiian chief.
I think he was a great chartographer and his discoveries were very important to help people to know the planet where they live.
